Âé¶¹´«Ã½ State to play first baseball home game in over a decade

Âé¶¹´«Ã½, Ala. —  The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ baseball team will take the field in its first home game since 2011. The Cardinals will play Snead State Community College at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ City High School baseball field.

Dr. Kathy Murphy, president of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ State, announced on April 18, 2022, that baseball and softball teams would once again be fielded at the College. The baseball and softball teams disbanded at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ State in 2011 and 2016, respectively.

The baseball team is coached by Blake Lewis, who is also the athletic director at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ State. He will be available for interviews following the game.
